Epic Clarity Report Writer

Job Title: Epic Clarity Report Writer Location: Remote Duration: 6+ Months (possibility of extension or conversion to permanent) Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Epic Clarity Report Writer to support healthcare analytics, reporting, and data strategy initiatives. This role is responsible for designing and executing reporting solutions by extracting, transforming, and analyzing data from Epic Clarity and Caboodle to support clinical, operational, and financial leadership. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Epic reporting tools, SQL development, dashboard creation, and healthcare data modeling. This is a high-demand and rapidly growing area within Epic, focused on advanced reporting, data governance, and analytics strategy. Key Responsibilities • Design and develop reporting solutions using Epic Clarity, Caboodle, and Cogito • Extract, transform, and validate healthcare data for reporting and analytics needs • Build dashboards and executive reports for clinical, operational, and financial leadership • Develop and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and data models • Collaborate with application analysts, operational leaders, and stakeholders to gather reporting requirements • Support enterprise-wide analytics strategy and data governance initiatives • Create reports using visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or other BI platforms • Validate data accuracy and ensure reporting integrity across systems • Support predictive modeling and performance improvement initiatives where applicable • Work closely with Epic application teams to understand workflows and reporting dependencies • Maintain technical documentation, reporting standards, and data definitions • Support security and access requirements related to reporting environments Required Skills • Epic Cogito Certification and/or Epic Clarity Certification preferred • Strong experience with Epic Clarity Reporting Module • Experience with Caboodle and enterprise reporting architecture • Advanced knowledge of SQL and relational database development • Experience building dashboards using Tableau, Power BI, or similar BI tools • Strong understanding of healthcare workflows and reporting requirements • Experience with data modeling, analytics strategy, and reporting optimization • Excellent stakeholder communication and requirements gathering skills • Ability to work independently and manage multiple reporting projects simultaneously Preferred Qualifications • Experience with predictive modeling and advanced healthcare analytics • Prior experience supporting hospitals, health systems, or large provider organizations • Understanding of Epic security and reporting access controls • Experience supporting part-time, multi-project, or consulting-based reporting environments • Exposure to financial, revenue cycle, or operational reporting initiatives
