Epic Cupid/Radiant Build Analyst Department: Information Technology – Clinical Applications Job Summary The Epic Cupid/Radiant Build Analyst is responsible for the design, build, optimization, implementation, and support of Epic Cupid (Cardiology) and Epic Radiant (Radiology) applications within Harris Health. This role partners closely with cardiology, radiology, imaging, nursing, operational, and physician stakeholders to enhance clinical workflows, improve patient care, and ensure efficient utilization of Epic systems. The analyst serves as a subject matter expert for Cupid and Radiant functionality, supporting system upgrades, workflow enhancements, integrations, troubleshooting, and ongoing optimization efforts. The position requires strong collaboration with clinical and technical teams to ensure Epic solutions align with organizational goals, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. Key Responsibilities Epic Application Build & Support Design, configure, build, test, and maintain Epic Cupid and Radiant application functionality. Develop and support cardiology and radiology workflows including scheduling, imaging orders, procedure documentation, reporting, and results management. Perform system analysis, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis for application issues. Configure records, security settings, workflows, navigators, SmartForms, SmartSets, reports, and other Epic tools. Participate in Epic upgrades, enhancements, special projects, and new feature implementations. Maintain system integrity through change management and documentation standards. Clinical Workflow Optimization Collaborate with physicians, technologists, nurses, and operational leaders to evaluate current workflows and identify improvement opportunities. Gather business and clinical requirements and translate them into Epic system solutions. Recommend process improvements that increase efficiency, patient safety, and user satisfaction. Support workflow redesign initiatives related to cardiology and radiology operations. Testing & Implementation Develop and execute unit, integrated, regression, and user acceptance testing plans. Validate system functionality and coordinate issue resolution during implementations and upgrades. Support go-live activities, including command center support and end-user assistance. Ensure build quality and adherence to organizational standards. Integration & Interoperability Collaborate with interface, integration, and infrastructure teams to support connectivity between Epic and imaging systems. Support integrations involving PACS, DICOM, modality worklists, imaging archives, and third-party cardiology/radiology applications. Assist in troubleshooting interface and data exchange issues. Training & Documentation Develop and maintain system documentation, workflows, build specifications, and support procedures. Provide knowledge transfer and guidance to operational teams and junior analysts. Assist with end-user education and communication regarding system changes. Compliance & Governance Ensure solutions comply with Epic standards, healthcare regulations, organizational policies, and security requirements. Participate in governance processes, change control activities, and application audits. Support data integrity, patient safety initiatives, and regulatory compliance efforts. Minimum Qualifications Education ο‚· Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Healthcare Informatics, Computer Science, Healthcare Administration, or related field. ο‚· Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered. Experience ο‚· 3+ years of Epic application analyst experience supporting clinical applications. ο‚· Experience building and supporting Epic Cupid and/or Epic Radiant modules. ο‚· Experience working within a healthcare provider environment, hospital system, or integrated delivery network. ο‚· Experience gathering requirements, workflow analysis, testing, and implementation support. Certifications ο‚· Current Epic Cupid Certification and/or Epic Radiant Certification required. ο‚· Additional Epic certifications are highly desirable. ο‚· Certification must be maintained according to Epic requirements. Preferred Qualifications ο‚· Experience supporting cardiovascular service lines, cath lab, electrophysiology, echocardiography, or imaging departments. ο‚· Knowledge of PACS, DICOM, HL7, imaging workflows, and interoperability standards. ο‚· Experience with Epic upgrades, optimization initiatives, and large-scale implementations. ο‚· Experience working in an academic medical center or large healthcare system. ο‚· Knowledge of reporting tools including Epic Reporting Workbench, Radar, and SlicerDicer. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities ο‚· Strong understanding of cardiology and radiology clinical workflows. ο‚· Advanced Epic build, configuration, and troubleshooting skills. ο‚· Ability to analyze complex workflows and develop effective technical solutions. ο‚· Strong project management and organizational skills. ο‚· Excellent verbal and written communication skills. ο‚· Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment. ο‚· Strong customer service orientation and stakeholder engagement skills. ο‚· Ability to work independently and collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.
