Role- EPIC MyChart Development SME
Location - Dallas, Texas(onsite)
Please find below the key responsibilities and qualification requirements.
Key Responsibilities
• System Administration: Manage and maintain Epic Client Systems, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability.
• MyChart Development: Design, develop, and customize MyChart web applications to meet organizational and patient needs, including patient portal enhancements and user interface improvements.
• Support and Troubleshooting: Provide Tier 2/3 support for MyChart-related issues, resolving technical problems and ensuring seamless user experiences for patients and providers.
• Integration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate MyChart with other Epic modules and third-party systems, ensuring interoperability and data consistency.
• Configuration and Optimization: Configure MyChart features, including patient messaging, appointment scheduling, and telehealth capabilities, to align with organizational goals.
• Training and Documentation: Develop training materials and provide guidance to end-users, including clinicians and administrative staff, on MyChart functionality.
• Compliance and Security: Ensure MyChart and Epic systems comply with HIPAA regulations and other healthcare standards, implementing robust security measures.
• Project Management: Lead or contribute to MyChart-related projects, including upgrades, new feature rollouts, and system enhancements.
Qualifications
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Healthcare Informatics, or a related field.
• Experience:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Epic ECSA or similar role.
• Strong expertise in MyChart web development, customization, and support.
• Proven experience with Epic system administration, including configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with Epic modules such as Ambulatory, Inpatient, or Cadence is a plus.
• Certifications:
• Epic ECSA certification required.
• Epic MyChart certification strongly preferred.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in web development technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript) for MyChart customization.
• Experience with Epic’s Interconnect and Web Services for integration.
• Knowledge of database management (e.g., SQL, Cache) and system interoperability standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR).
