Role description
Data Integration & Transformation: Design and maintain pipelines to ingest data from internal/external sources. Convert various data formats into X12 837 (Claims) and 834 (Enrollment) standards for Epic ingestion.
Perform hands-on build, maintenance, and optimization of Tapestry modules including Claims, Membership, and Benefits Engine.
Translate complex payer policies into actionable business rules and system configurations within Epic to ensure automated, accurate processing.
Use SQL to query database tables, validate data integrity, and troubleshoot interface errors between the integration layer and Epic.
Utilize Azure Data Factory (ADF) as the central hub for data movement and orchestration, ensuring reliable delivery of mission-critical healthcare data.
Required Skills
Epic Tapestry Certification, Current Certification Required (often UM or Claims focus) 3–5+ Years of hands-on build experience in Tapestry environments 3–5+ Years specifically with 837 and 834 transaction sets, X12 EDI Transactions 3–5+ Years of advanced querying and data validation experience 1–2+ Years (Highly preferred) in an enterprise integration or ETL role using Azure Data Factory
1 – 2 years experience with ANSI X12 standards, SQL Server, and cloud-based ETL tools (ADF).
Familiarity with Epic Bridges and the data structures within Chronicles/Clarity.
Ability to map complex source-to-target data flows and identify potential bottlenecks in the integration layer.
Strong ability to translate between clinical/business requirements and technical integration specifications
