Summary Of Key Responsibilities
β’ Lead Design & Development:
β’ Design and develop high-performing ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse, and Purview.
β’ Build and optimize large-scale ETL pipelines for high-performance, high-availability environments.
β’ Data Integration & Transformation:
β’ Create, manage, and optimize ETL workflows that ensure timely, accurate, and secure data delivery for analytics and reporting.
β’ Ensure data quality, validation, and resilience in ETL processes.
β’ Cloud Platform Expertise:
β’ Leverage the Azure ecosystem to manage structured/unstructured data and enable analytics in CIMS Data Warehouse/Data Lake.
β’ Integrate large data sets into Azure Synapse Analytics for downstream data-driven insights.
β’ Performance Optimization:
β’ Continuously tune ETL processes for minimal latency and maximum throughput, meeting stringent performance requirements.
β’ Security & Compliance:
β’ Embed security and compliance best practices in ETL processes, ensuring adherence to data governance, RBAC, and regulatory standards.
β’ Utilize Azure Purview for data governance, lineage, and policy enforcement.
β’ Collaboration & Leadership:
β’ Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineers, analysts, business stakeholders, security) to deliver solutions that meet evolving needs.
β’ Serve as a technical leader and mentor for junior staff on best practices in data processing.
β’ Documentation & Best Practices:
β’ Develop and maintain thorough documentation for ETL processes.
β’ Establish and enforce best practices for data handling, development, and security.
Minimum Required Qualifications
β’ 7+ years experience in ETL development and data engineering.
β’ 3+ years hands-on experience with ADF, Azure Cloud, Databricks, Synapse Analytics, and Purview.
β’ Proven expertise in Spark, Python, and/or Scala for data transformation.
β’ Strong SQL skills and experience with complex data structures.
β’ In-depth knowledge of data governance, security, and RBAC in Azure.
β’ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/related field or equivalent work experience (including SOA and Azure).
β’ Must complete Level II background check and Security Awareness Training.
Preferred Qualifications
β’ Microsoft Azure certifications (Data Engineer Associate, Solutions Architect Expert, Fundamentals).
β’ Azure Databricks Data Engineer Associate certification.
