ETL Data Engineer

Job Title: Senior Data Engineer / ETL Developer (SSIS to Snowflake Migration) Location: Remote (Must work EST hours). Preferred if able to come onsite in Philadelphia 1 day/week Duration: 6+ months Interview: Video Interview Visa: U.S. Citizens/Green Card ONLY due to legal or government contract requirement Key Responsibilities • Develop SSIS packages supporting full and incremental data loads • Migrate data from SQL Server to Snowflake using SSIS and ODBC connections • Configure and manage ODBC connectivity for SQL Server and Snowflake • Implement error handling, logging, and retry mechanisms • Schedule and automate SSIS executions via SQL Server Agent • Perform automated and manual data validation to ensure accuracy • Troubleshoot performance issues and optimize ETL processes • Document ETL logic and contribute to architecture diagrams and flowcharts Required Qualifications • 7+ years of ETL development experience • Strong expertise in SQL Server (including legacy versions) • Extensive hands-on SSIS development experience • Proven experience migrating data from SSIS to Snowflake • Hands-on Snowflake experience • Experience working in Azure environments • Strong SQL, troubleshooting, and performance tuning skills Preferred Qualifications • Experience with large-scale data migration projects • Strong understanding of incremental load strategies • Certifications (nice to have): • Snowflake SnowPro Core • Microsoft Certified Data Engineer Associate • Microsoft Azure Data Fundamentals
