ETL Developer

Title: ETL Developer Location: Charlotte NC Onsite: 3x onsite each week Duration: 12 Months Contract Interview Process: Virtual + 1 Onsite interview Roles and responsibilities Hands-on design and ETL development in Data Warehouse environment. Work on multiple projects concurrently, take ownership & pride in the work done by them, attend project meetings, understanding requirements, designing solutions, developing code. Partnering with near shore and offshore teammates in a matrix environment, coordinating with other support teams like L2, development, testing, up/down stream partners, etc., Work with the Business Analysts to understand the requirements, work on high level & detailed design to address the real-time issues in production. Work with Information Architecture team to propose technical solutions to requirements, lems. Identify gaps in technology and propose viable solutions. Take accountability of the technical deliveries from offshore Solid Understand of Data Warehousing and Dimensional Data Modeling concepts. Work with the development teams and QA during the post code development phase. Identify improvement areas within the application and work with the respective teams to implement the same. Ensuring adherence to defined process & quality standards, best practices, high quality levels in all deliverables. Adhere to team’s governing principles and policies. Primary Skill: Hadoop Secondary Skill: Informatica Nice to Skill: Teradata Required Qualifications Strong leadership, communication, writing, and relationship skills across varied levels of influence Ability to design the system with little direction or guidance. Excellent analytical and logical skills Self-starter with thought leadership Ability to partner with both technology and business associates to implement solutions. Strong knowledge of project life cycle, Data Warehousing, Dimensional Data Modeling Ability to multitask and work independently. Expert Knowledge in Oracle/Exadata Expert Knowledge Oracle SQL/PLSQL ETL Processing concepts Experience in handing large data volume and Performance Tuning Desired Qualifications Large Financial Organization experience / exposure
