Role Overview Client is seeking an experienced ETL Developer to design, develop, and optimize scalable data solutions within the AWS ecosystem. The role involves building ETL pipelines, managing data warehousing solutions, and supporting data-driven business initiatives. Key Responsibilities • Design and implement scalable data models to support applications, analytics, and business intelligence initiatives. • Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes for structured and unstructured data. • Develop and maintain ETL pipelines using AWS Glue and other AWS services. • Manage and optimize data warehousing solutions using Amazon Redshift, RDS, and Document DB. • Ensure data integrity, performance, and timely processing across data pipelines. • Integrate data from multiple sources using AWS technologies. • Monitor and optimize database performance for efficient data loads and queries. • Implement best practices for data management, security, and cost optimization within AWS. • Collaborate with stakeholders, UI/API teams, business analysts, and other technical teams to support business needs. • Lead and mentor junior data engineers on AWS best practices and technical challenges. • Continuously evaluate and adopt new AWS technologies to enhance the data platform. • Build and manage data architecture solutions including data lakehouses, data lakes, data warehouses, and data marts. • Develop processes to ensure data reliability, efficiency, and quality. • Prepare and organize data for modeling and analytics purposes. • Monitor and optimize data architecture and processing systems for performance and scalability. • Perform testing and troubleshooting related to system performance, reliability, and scalability. • Create and maintain technical documentation related to data processes and systems. Education & Experience • Bachelor''s or Master''s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field. Equivalent experience may be considered. • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Data Engineer. • Strong experience with data architecture and ETL processes. • Experience with distributed and parallel computing technologies. Required Technical Skills • 5+ years of ETL coding experience. • Proficiency in Python and SQL for data processing and automation. • Experience with Apache Spark or similar distributed computing frameworks. • Hands-on experience with AWS services including Glue, S3, Document DB, Redshift, RDS, Athena, and AWS Lake Formation. • Experience with Redshift, DynamoDB, OpenSearch, and other relational/NoSQL databases. • Experience with workflow orchestration tools such as AWS Step Functions and AWS MWAA. • Strong understanding of relational databases, including tables, views, indexes, and table spaces. • Experience with GitHub and CI/CD processes. • Strong problem-solving skills and understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies.
