ETL / SAS Engineer – Contract (Inside IR35) Location: Remote (UK-based) Duration: 12 months initial (programme expected to run 2–3 years) Competitive day rates Engagement: Inside IR35 Security Clearance: Active SC Clearance required We’re supporting a public sector client on long-term enterprise data transformation programme and are looking for an experienced ETL / SAS Engineer to play a key role in a large-scale legacy SAS & ETL modernisation initiative. This is a multi-year migration programme focused on upgrading and transforming legacy SAS 9.4 environments to modern platforms, including SAS Viya, while rationalising ETL pipelines and enhancing data warehouse capability. The Role You will: • Support and modernise SAS 9.4 environments, including migration to SAS Viya • Deliver legacy ETL transformation and migration activities • Support and enhance SAS analytics capability and SAS sandpit environments • Redesign, optimise and migrate enterprise ETL pipelines • Work across complex data warehouse environments • Provide hands-on SAS platform support • Collaborate with architects, platform teams and business stakeholders throughout the migration lifecycle Key Skills & Experience • Strong hands-on experience with SAS (Base SAS, SAS 9.4, SAS Viya) • Proven experience delivering SAS migration programmes • Experience supporting and administering SAS platforms • Strong ETL development capability using: • Informatica • Talend • Pentaho • Solid understanding of data warehousing architecture • Experience working on large-scale enterprise transformation programmes • Active SC Clearance (mandatory)
