Position Description
This Data Developer position will be primarily responsible for development, enhancement, troubleshooting, and maintenance of data-focused software solutions using T-SQL, SSIS, PowerBI and other BI and Data Visualization tools, in support of various ADE business processes, data analysis, and reporting requirements. The successful developer will be solution-oriented, adapt to changing environments, and able to work with minimal defined requirements. Preferred candidates will be investigative, detail-oriented problem solvers who understand the power of data and the criticality of its quality.
Responsibilities
• Develop T-SQL for creation and maintenance of database objects and ETL solutions
• Build interactive data visualizations, analytics, and dashboards using Power BI
• Support and maintain existing SSRS reporting solutions
• Participate in all phases of the data solutions development and maintenance lifecycle
• Perform impact analysis on change requests and provide development effort estimates
• Participate in collaborative design and requirement definition sessions
• Assist in documenting technical specifications based on business requirements
• Support defect analysis and resolution activities
• Work with the lead Data Architect to implement data architecture principles
• Collaborate with the data team to design efficient data loading and management processes
• Perform data quality assessments to ensure source data meets information requirements
• Develop business rules, data mappings, and transformation logic
• Support SQL Server data repositories including documentation and data validation
• Analyze datasets to identify missing, incomplete, or invalid data
• Maintain formal documentation of data structures and architecture
• Work closely with cross-functional teams including PM, BA, QA, and Operations
• Participate in Agile/Scrum activities such as sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives
• Perform other duties as assigned
Required Skills
• SQL Server development using T-SQL and SSIS
• Intermediate to advanced relational database design and modeling
• Experience with Power BI, SSRS, and other data visualization tools
• Strong understanding of data development best practices and patterns
• Ability to work in a collaborative and distributed team environment
• Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
