Role description
Senior BI & Reporting Analyst (Consumer / Customer Business Data) Location: Remote in the United States, supporting CST core business hours 4 month contract + high probability for extension Weโ€™re seeking a Senior BI & Reporting Analyst to support Executive reporting needs. The ideal candidate is a data-driven storyteller who can transform telecom business data into meaningful insights that drive strategy and decision-making. This role combines technical reporting skills with strong business intuition to create compelling visualizations, analyses, and presentations for executive audiences. This position requires proficiency in Power BI, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as a solid understanding of telecom industry metrics, customer behavior, and operational performance data. Youโ€™ll work across financial, customer, and operational datasets, helping leadership see not just what is happening, but why. Key Responsibilities โ€ข Develop and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and Excel-based reports to visualize business performance across customer, financial, and operational domains. โ€ข Use Power Query and Power BI data modeling for data transformation and analysis (no ETL required). โ€ข Perform deep-dive analysis on trends such as revenue, customer churn, product adoption, service quality, and operational efficiency. โ€ข Build insightful PowerPoint presentations and executive summaries that translate data into actionable business stories. โ€ข Partner with business stakeholders to refine requirements, validate data, and deliver accurate, high-impact reports under tight timelines. โ€ข Use advanced Excel capabilities (PivotTables, charts, XLOOKUP, SUMPRODUCT, and Power Query) to create quick-turn, high-quality visualizations. โ€ข Ensure data consistency, accuracy, and clarity across all reports and dashboards. Required Qualifications โ€ข 10+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analysis, or reporting roles. โ€ข Expert-level proficiency in Power BI (data modeling, DAX, Power Query, and visual design). โ€ข Advanced Excel skills for rapid analysis and chart building. โ€ข Strong grasp of telecom industry metrics and key business drivers. โ€ข Solid SQL experience for querying and validating data. โ€ข Proven ability to craft clear, engaging presentations for senior leadership. โ€ข Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail. โ€ข Bachelorโ€™s degree in Business, Finance, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field. โ€ข Experience with telecom, broadband, or technology industries, particularly around customer, financial, or operational reporting. โ€ข Strong data storytelling and communication skills, ability to simplify complex insights for non-technical stakeholders. โ€ข Comfort working in fast-paced environments with shifting priorities and short turnaround times.
