Role description
We are seeking a hands-on Oracle HCM Fast Formula professional to support the configuration and ongoing enhancement of calculation logic within Oracle HCM Cloud. This role focuses on building, updating, and supporting Fast Formulas that drive critical HR, Payroll, Benefits, Compensation, and Absence processes. The ideal candidate combines strong functional understanding with proven technical execution in a production Oracle HCM environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Fast Formula Design & Maintenance
• Create, enhance, and support Oracle HCM Fast Formulas aligned to business rules and operational needs across:
• Core Human Resources
• Payroll
• Compensation
• Benefits
• Absence Management
• Translate functional requirements and complex policy logic into scalable, well-structured Fast Formula solutions.
• Update and refactor existing formulas to reflect regulatory changes, evolving business processes, and Oracle Cloud enhancements.
• Ensure formula configurations align with Oracle-recommended practices and leverage delivered HCM functionality where appropriate.
Testing, Troubleshooting & Release Support
• Conduct unit-level validation and support downstream testing activities, including system, regression, and user acceptance testing.
• Diagnose and resolve formula-related defects, validation errors, and unexpected calculation results.
• Collaborate with functional, QA, and technical teams to validate end-to-end outcomes across HCM modules.
• Support Oracle HCM quarterly release activities, including impact analysis and post-release validation.
Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing
• Partner with business analysts, HR stakeholders, QA resources, and product owners to ensure formula outcomes meet business expectations.
• Produce and maintain clear documentation covering formula logic, assumptions, dependencies, and configuration decisions.
• Communicate risks, impacts, and recommended approaches related to Fast Formula changes.
• Provide knowledge transfer and guidance to internal teams as requested.
Required Qualifications:
• Demonstrated, hands-on experience developing Oracle HCM Fast Formulas that are live in a production environment.
• Strong functional expertise across Oracle HCM Cloud, including HR, Payroll, Benefits, and Absence.
• Practical experience supporting Oracle HCM quarterly updates and assessing their impact on formula behavior.
• Proven ability to interpret complex business rules and implement them effectively using Fast Formula logic.
• Experience troubleshooting formula errors, calculation issues, and performance-related concerns.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to document and explain technical logic to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Note: Direct Oracle HCM Fast Formula development experience is mandatory. Candidates without hands-on Fast Formula experience in Oracle HCM Cloud will not be considered.
