Position Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Business Analyst with deep expertise in Oracle Fusion ERP Financials to join our team in a hybrid role based in Vienna, VA or Pensacola, FL. This role is ideal for a strategic thinker with a strong background in finance, accounting, and data analysis, who thrives in agile environments and is passionate about optimizing business processes through technology.
As a key liaison between finance leadership and technical teams, you will lead full lifecycle implementations, drive data governance initiatives, and deliver actionable insights that enhance financial operations. Youβll work cross-functionally to identify pain points, streamline workflows, and implement scalable solutions using cutting-edge tools and methodologies.
Key Responsibilities:
β’ Analyze financial business processes and identify opportunities for improvement and automation.
β’ Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into actionable user stories and acceptance criteria.
β’ Lead and facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT), including test planning, execution, and documentation.
β’ Support and train finance and accounting teams on newly implemented systems and processes.
β’ Participate in agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives).
β’ Develop and maintain project plans, roadmaps, and change management strategies.
β’ Ensure proper documentation of preventative, detective, and corrective controls.
β’ Act as a strategic advisor for financial data governance and reporting initiatives.
β’ Conduct feasibility studies and system analyses to support enterprise-wide financial transformation.
Required Skills/Education:
β’ Proven experience with Oracle Cloud Fusion ERP, including modules such as General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Project Accounting, and Cash Management.
β’ Strong understanding of data integration, data governance, and data warehousing concepts.
β’ Familiarity with ETL tools, data mapping, and data engineering principles.
β’ Advanced proficiency in data querying, reporting, and forecasting.
β’ Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams and managing complex projects.
β’ Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
β’ Bachelorβs degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field.
Desired Qualifications:
β’ Experience with SQL, Python, or other data analysis languages.
β’ Proficiency in BI tools such as Tableau or Microsoft Power BI.
β’ Familiarity with agile methodologies and working in agile environments.
β’ Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud) and tools like Databricks, Apache Spark, Azure Data Factory.
β’ Experience with Oracle ERP Cloud reporting tools: BI Publisher, OTBI, Fusion Analytics Warehouse (FAW).
β’ Masterβs degree or equivalent experience in a related field is a plus.
