Financial Business Analyst

Position Title: Financial Business Analyst - Oracle ERP Location: Vienna, VA / Pensacola, FL (Hybrid) Clearance Requirements: None Position Status: Contract to Hire Pay Rate: $40 - $45/Hr Position Description We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Business Analyst with deep expertise in Oracle Fusion ERP Financials to join our team in a hybrid role based in Vienna, VA or Pensacola, FL. This role is ideal for a strategic thinker with a strong background in finance, accounting, and data analysis, who thrives in agile environments and is passionate about optimizing business processes through technology. As a key liaison between finance leadership and technical teams, you will lead full lifecycle implementations, drive data governance initiatives, and deliver actionable insights that enhance financial operations. You’ll work cross-functionally to identify pain points, streamline workflows, and implement scalable solutions using cutting-edge tools and methodologies. Key Responsibilities: • Analyze financial business processes and identify opportunities for improvement and automation. • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into actionable user stories and acceptance criteria. • Lead and facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT), including test planning, execution, and documentation. • Support and train finance and accounting teams on newly implemented systems and processes. • Participate in agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives). • Develop and maintain project plans, roadmaps, and change management strategies. • Ensure proper documentation of preventative, detective, and corrective controls. • Act as a strategic advisor for financial data governance and reporting initiatives. • Conduct feasibility studies and system analyses to support enterprise-wide financial transformation. Required Skills/Education: • Proven experience with Oracle Cloud Fusion ERP, including modules such as General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Project Accounting, and Cash Management. • Strong understanding of data integration, data governance, and data warehousing concepts. • Familiarity with ETL tools, data mapping, and data engineering principles. • Advanced proficiency in data querying, reporting, and forecasting. • Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams and managing complex projects. • Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field. Desired Qualifications: • Experience with SQL, Python, or other data analysis languages. • Proficiency in BI tools such as Tableau or Microsoft Power BI. • Familiarity with agile methodologies and working in agile environments. • Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud) and tools like Databricks, Apache Spark, Azure Data Factory. • Experience with Oracle ERP Cloud reporting tools: BI Publisher, OTBI, Fusion Analytics Warehouse (FAW). • Master’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field is a plus.
