Insight Global is seeking a highly detail-oriented and experienced Financial Data Analyst for a critical data transformation project. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of financial products and valuation coupled with a strong background in data management, including experience with SQL, PowerApps, and Python. This position requires you to be onsite in Boston 4 days a week with 1 day of remote flexibility. The compensation for this role is based on years of experience and ranges from $32/hr-$37/hr.
Must Haves:
β’ Bachelorβs degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field
β’ 5+ years of experience in Data Operations, Data Governance, or Investment Operations within an Asset Manager or Hedge Fund.
β’ Deep understanding of financial instruments (Equities, Bonds, Futures, Options) and Reference Data (Issuers, Corporate Actions, Ratings, Classifications).
β’ Familiarity with major index providers (e.g., MSCI, S&P, Bloomberg, FTSE) and how benchmark data is structured (constituents, weights, returns).
β’ Advanced Excel proficiency (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
β’ Proficiency in SQL for data querying and analysis.
Plusses:
β’ Familiarity with accounting and valuation of various asset classes including structured products and derivatives
β’ Experience with Accounting and Trading Systems; APX, CRD, Bloomberg
β’ Experience with major EDM (Enterprise Data Management) platforms (e.g., GoldenSource, IHS Markit/S&P EDM, SimCorp).
Compensation:
$32 - $37 per hour
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
[Benefit language should be provided by the client since this is for a perm position- if they do not provide it upon our request, we can insert something super generic like "Benefit packages for this role may include healthcare insurance offerings and paid leave as provided by applicable law."
