Job Summary: The Financial Data Analyst - Regulatory Reporting supports broker-dealer regulatory reporting by transforming large datasets into accurate, compliant reporting outputs. This role focuses heavily on advanced Excel work, data analysis, reconciliations, and process support across the team. Key Responsibilities: • Regulatory Reporting & Data Preparation: Retrieve, aggregate, and calculate financial data to produce inputs for regulatory reports; analyze exceptions and ensure completeness and accuracy. • Advanced Excel Analysis: Work with large datasets using pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and advanced Excel functionality; help automate existing Excel files and improve workflows. • Reconciliations & Controls: Perform reconciliations and control checks across accounts and financial data to validate accuracy and identify inconsistencies. • Stakeholder Collaboration: Communicate with internal and external partners to follow up on data issues, validate findings, clarify discrepancies, and support operational needs. • Issue Identification & Escalation: Identify potential data issues, perform deeper analysis as needed, and escalate findings to senior team members. • Process Documentation & Support: Create or enhance written desktop procedures; support departmental ad hoc requests and special projects as assigned. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Accounting or Finance • 3+ years of experience working with financial data, reporting, or analysis • Strong knowledge of debits and credits • Advanced proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, navigation of large datasets) • Strong written and verbal English communication skills • Proficiency in MS Office tools Preferred Experience: • Experience in regulatory reporting environments • Familiarity with PowerBI, PowerQuery, and PowerPoint • Prior experience analyzing and preparing large data files for reporting • Ability to automate or streamline workflows within Excel Why Join Us: This team is currently under-resourced and seeking strong support while hiring for permanent roles, offering high visibility and immediate impact.
