SENIOR FINANCIAL DATA ANALYST – MEDTECH
Remote (London offices) – Remote – 12–24 month contract – High-impact automation role within FP&A
£400 – £500 per day
Are you a finance professional with strong technical skills who has led the automation of budgeting and forecasting processes into Power BI? Do you enjoy turning manual finance processes into scalable, reliable solutions?
We’re hiring for a Senior Financial Data Analyst to join a MedTech business in a newly created role within FP&A.
This role is designed to transform how the business approaches budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
You’ll sit within the finance team, working closely with FP&A, commercial finance, and senior leadership to automate core processes and remove manual effort from the reporting cycle.
This is not a pure data role. The successful candidate must come from a finance background, understand FP&A cycles in detail, and have hands-on experience leading the build of automated budgeting and forecasting solutions within Power BI for a business.
WISH LIST
• Finance background with strong FP&A exposure (budgeting, forecasting, reporting)
• Proven experience leading the automation of budgeting and forecasting processes into Power BI
• Strong data capability, comfortable working in a complex, fast-paced, and manual environment
THE ROLE
• Design and lead the automation of the annual budgeting process within Power BI
• Build automated workflows for rolling forecasts and reforecast cycles
• Develop data-driven frameworks for variance analysis and commentary
• Own and enhance FP&A dashboards, ensuring outputs are accurate and trusted
• Automate the production of monthly management reporting packs
• Improve data flows between ERP systems, planning tools, and reporting outputs
• Identify and resolve data quality issues at source
• Map existing manual processes and prioritise automation opportunities
• Partner with FP&A, commercial finance, and senior stakeholders to gather requirements
• Lead user adoption of new tools through training and documentation
• Drive continuous improvement across finance through automation initiatives
• Support wider finance transformation and system improvements
YOUR PROFILE
• Finance professional
• Effective communicator – written & verbal
• Good working knowledge of MS Excel
• Advanced Power BI experience, including data modelling and DAX
• Demonstrated experience leading end-to-end automation of FP&A processes (budgeting & forecasting)
SALARY & BENEFITS
• £400 – £500 per day
• Remote working (with access to London office)
• 12–24 month contract
• High-impact role with strong visibility across finance
• Opportunity to lead and shape FP&A automation
