Role description
We are seeking a Financial Data Analyst with a strong blend of FP&A, Data Analytics and Business Intelligence experience. This role will focus heavily on analyzing large SaaS datasets, developing ARR-focused insights, identifying business trends, and supporting executive decision-making through advanced analytics.
This is a highly technical finance role. The ideal candidate is comfortable querying large datasets, structuring complex data, analyzing customer-level revenue trends, and translating findings into actionable business strategy. Candidates should have deep familiarity with SaaS business models and key recurring revenue metrics.
Primary Responsibilities
• Analyze large volumes of customer, subscription, and revenue data to identify performance trends, risks, and growth opportunities.
• Build and maintain recurring revenue reporting focused on ARR, MRR, retention, churn, expansion, bookings, and customer lifecycle metrics.
• Write complex SQL queries to collect, validate, transform, and analyze large datasets from multiple business systems.
• Develop dashboards and executive reporting in Tableau, Power BI, or similar visualization tools.
• Partner with Finance, Revenue Operations, Product, Sales, and Executive Leadership to answer strategic business questions through data.
• Analyze customer-level data, customer IDs, usage trends, renewals, expansions, and retention performance.
• Structure large datasets into meaningful reporting frameworks that drive business decisions.
• Identify leading indicators within ARR performance and create scalable reporting solutions around those metrics.
• Support annual planning, forecasting, and long-range planning initiatives through advanced data analysis.
• Deliver executive-ready insights and recommendations based on quantitative analysis.
Required Experience
• 5+ years of experience in FP&A, Revenue Analytics, Strategic Finance, Business Analytics, or Financial Data Analytics.
• Advanced SQL experience with the ability to write and optimize queries against large datasets.
• Expertise developing reports and dashboards in Tableau and/or Power BI.
• Strong experience working with SaaS business models and recurring revenue environments.
• Experience analyzing ARR and related SaaS metrics.
• Ability to work with millions of transaction or customer-level records and identify business trends.
• Experience translating raw data into strategic recommendations.
• Advanced Excel modeling and analytical skills.
Preferred Experience
• SaaS company background.
• Revenue Operations or Commercial Analytics exposure.
• Snowflake, Databricks, Redshift, BigQuery, or similar data warehouse experience.
• Experience working directly with customer-level revenue data.
• Knowledge of subscription analytics and customer cohort analysis.
• Experience supporting executive leadership and board-level reporting.
• Exposure to Python for analysis or automation.
