Role description
FINANCIAL DATA ANALYST – MEDTECH
Remote (London offices) – 24-month FTC – High-impact role transforming FP&A processes
£70,000 – £90,000
Are you a finance professional with strong technical skills looking to improve how finance operates? Do you enjoy turning manual processes into scalable, reliable solutions?
We’re hiring for a Finance Data Analyst to join a MedTech business in a newly created role within FP&A.
This position is designed to transform how the business approaches budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
You’ll sit within the finance team—working closely with FP&A, commercial finance, and senior leadership—to automate core processes and remove manual effort from the reporting cycle.
It’s a hands-on role where you’ll build solutions that directly improve how finance operates, while giving the wider team more time to focus on insight and decision support.
There’s strong visibility from day one, with the opportunity to shape how automation is approached across the function.
WISH LIST
• Experience working within or closely alongside an FP&A or commercial finance team
• Proven track record of building automation solutions in a finance environment
• Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting processes
THE ROLE
• Design and automate the annual budgeting process, improving efficiency and control
• Build automated workflows for rolling forecasts and reforecast cycles
• Develop data-driven frameworks for variance analysis and commentary
• Own and develop FP&A dashboards using Power BI
• Automate the production of monthly management reporting packs
• Improve data flows between ERP systems, planning tools, and reporting outputs
• Identify and resolve data quality issues at source
• Map existing manual processes and prioritise automation opportunities
• Partner with FP&A, commercial finance, and senior stakeholders to gather requirements
• Lead user adoption of new tools through training and documentation
• Drive continuous improvement across finance through automation initiatives
• Support longer-term development of systems and planning tools
YOUR PROFILE
• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CA, CIMA) or relevant degree with strong finance experience
• Effective communicator – written & verbal
• Good working knowledge of MS Excel
• Hands-on experience with Power BI, including data modelling and DAX
• Experience using Python, VBA, or similar to automate finance processes
SALARY & BENEFITS
• £70,000 – £90,000
• Remote working (with access to London office)
• 24-month fixed-term contract
• High-impact, newly created role with strong visibility
• Opportunity to shape automation across the finance function
