Position Title: Financial Systems Analyst Client: Educational Testing Service Duration: 12+ Months Contract + Extension Location: Princeton, NJ 08541 Requested Shift: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM Description Job Title: Financial Systems Analyst – ETS The Financial Systems Analyst will be responsible for consolidating datasets, developing dataflows, and executing Python notebooks within Microsoft Fabric to generate and maintain semantic data models. This role requires strong expertise in MS Fabric, data integration, and data modeling to support business intelligence and data-driven decision-making. Key Responsibilities • Dataset Consolidation: Integrate and consolidate data from multiple sources within MS Fabric, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and reliability. • Dataflow Development: Design, develop, and maintain scalable dataflows in MS Fabric for automated data processing and transformation. • Python Notebooks: Utilize Python notebooks within MS Fabric for data analysis, automation, and visualization, as well as for building semantic models. • Semantic Modeling: Develop and maintain semantic data models to support reporting, analytics, and business intelligence initiatives. • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with data engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver effective data solutions. • Documentation: Create and maintain clear documentation for dataflows, processes, and data models to ensure knowledge sharing and continuity. • Performance Optimization: Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize performance of dataflows and models to improve efficiency and scalability. Required Skills and Qualifications • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, including dataset consolidation, dataflows, and Python notebooks • Solid understanding of data integration techniques and best practices • Proficiency in Python for data analysis, scripting, and automation • Experience with data modeling and building semantic models for analytics and reporting • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams • Ability to document processes and technical workflows clearly and effectively Preferred Qualifications • Experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar • Exposure to cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud • Proficiency in SQL for querying and managing relational databases • Understanding of data governance principles and best practices
