Role description
Position: FinOps Dashboard Developer Location: Remote Duration:Β Long Term Contract Role Summary The FinOps Dashboard Developer will design, build, and maintain dashboards that deliver actionable insights on cloud cost, usage, optimization, and budget/forecast performance. You will work closely with engineering, finance, and business stakeholders to enable visibility, highlight anomalies, and support forecasting and decision-making. Key Responsibilities Ingest, clean, and transform cloud billing, usage, and sustainability data; integrate with finance and engineering data. Define and maintain dashboards and reports for different personas (engineering, finance, leadership, product). Ensure cost allocation accuracy with tagging/metadata compliance and correction logic. Create forecasts, variance reporting, and surface anomalies in cloud spend. Build anomaly detection, alerting, and trend monitoring into dashboards. Enable self-service reporting for stakeholders. Collaborate across engineering, finance, procurement, and product teams to understand reporting needs. Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability. Stay current on FinOps standards, cloud billing models, and emerging practices. Required Skills & Qualifications 3-5 years of experience in dashboard development / business intelligence with a focus on cloud cost analytics. Strong experience with visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, Grafana). Proficiency in SQL and working with large datasets. Experience with AWS / Azure / GCP billing & usage data. Understanding of FinOps concepts (tagging, unit costs, reserved instances, savings plans, rightsizing, amortization). Strong communication skills with the ability to present data to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Preferred Skills Familiarity with data warehouses (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery) and ETL/ELT pipelines (dbt, Airflow). Hands-on experience with Flexera One CCO. FinOps Certified Practitioner or Engineer certification. Knowledge of sustainability/carbon metrics in cloud reporting. Scripting (Python, PowerShell) for automation.
