Fircosoft Engineer

Role: Software Engineer – Fircosoft Location – Tampa, FL Software Engineer – Fircosoft Sanctions Screening Build and own enterprise-scale FircoSoft platforms at global scale. Client is seeking a highly specialized FircoSoft engineer to strengthen our Sanctions Screening Technology platform within the Corporate & Investment Bank. This role is designed for professionals who bring hands-on, production-grade experience with FircoSoft implementations and want to operate at the highest level of technical ownership and impact. You will work on mission-critical sanctions screening systems that process massive transaction volumes and protect the firm, our clients, and the global financial system. This is not a support role—it is a core engineering position where your FircoSoft expertise directly shapes architecture, performance, and platform evolution. What You’ll Own • End-to-end ownership of FircoSoft-based solutions across design, development, configuration, optimization, and production stability • Design and implementation of high-throughput, low-latency sanctions screening workflows using FircoSoft components • Hands-on development and configuration of: o Continuity V6 o Screening Preparation o Firco Utilities • Build and maintain robust Java-based integrations (Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, PL/SQL) aligned with enterprise architecture standards • Drive microservices and messaging-based designs to support scalability and resiliency • Analyze production behavior, identify bottlenecks, and lead performance tuning and stability improvements • Create and enforce architecture and design standards for FircoSoft implementations • Act as a technical authority for FircoSoft within the team—mentoring engineers and influencing platform direction • Partner with product, compliance, and operations teams to deliver solutions that meet regulatory and business-critical requirements Required Expertise • Significant, hands-on experience with FircoSoft, including deep knowledge of: o Continuity V6 o Screening Preparation o Firco Utilities • Strong development and configuration expertise using: o Java, J2EE, Spring Boot o IBM MQ, Kafka o Shell Scripting o Oracle SQL & PL/SQL o Microservices and messaging technologies • Proven experience delivering and supporting FircoSoft solutions in large, complex, enterprise environments • Strong understanding of sanctions screening workflows and data processing at scale • End-to-end knowledge of the SDLC, including production support and operational resilience • Practical experience or formal training in Kubernetes and AWS concepts • Hands-on exposure to CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins), application resiliency, and security best practices Highly Valued (Differentiators) • Multi-year experience implementing and upgrading latest FircoSoft versions, especially Continuity V6 • Experience modernizing or re-architecting legacy FircoSoft platforms • Exposure to cloud-native architectures and containerized deployments • Familiarity with AI/ML concepts applied to screening, alert reduction, or data analysis • Experience working directly with compliance, risk, or sanctions teams
