Role description
Location: Atlanta, GA (Buckhead) - onsite required 4 days per week Duration: 6-month contract Description: Our client is seeking an FP&A Consultant who will analyze and forecast operational costs, develop financial models for business units and corporate initiatives, prepare budgets, and provide insights and recommendations to leadership for strategic decision-making and expense management. The role requires strong analytical skills to interpret trends, identify risks, support business cases, and drive financial improvements and accountability. Responsibilities: β€’ Analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial results, identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and prepare insightful financial reports for senior management β€’ Develop, maintain, and enhance financial models for business units and corporate initiatives, and forecast SG&A expenses to support strategic decisions and profitability β€’ Support the development of annual operating expenses and capital budgets in collaboration with department leaders. β€’ Collaborate with various business partners and functional leaders to provide financial insights, analytical support, and help facilitate profitable decision-making β€’ Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting capabilities, and analytical tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness across the organization β€’ Perform time-sensitive, ad hoc financial analyses and present findings and recommendations to senior leadership to support specific business cases and scenarios β€’ Ensure data integrity and consistency across reporting platforms β€’ Develop and maintain financial models and projections Qualifications: β€’ Minimum 5 years of FP&A experience β€’ Must have hands-on expertise in Workday Adaptive (planning and utilization) β€’ Thorough knowledge in financial analysis, forecasting, and planning β€’ Proficiency in developing, maintaining, and enhancing financial models and forecasting tools β€’ Working knowledge of financial analysis techniques and general accounting procedures β€’ Ability to perform in-depth financial analysis, interpret complex data, and provide actionable insights β€’ Advanced proficiency in Excel for financial modeling and analytics, with data visualization and BI skills (e.g., Power BI & Tableau) β€’ Bachelor’s degree in finance or related field. MBA preferred β€’ Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey financial information to diverse audiences β€’ Capacity to think strategically and provide analytical support for key initiatives and financial investments β€’ Strong collaboration skills to partner effectively with cross-functional teams and business leaders β€’ Self-starter – with an entrepreneurial spirit that thrives in a fast-paced environment, deals well with ambiguity and focuses on driving impact Eligibility Requirements: β€’ Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. β€’ As a contractor, including remote contractors, you may be required to complete a background check. As a contractor, you will be paid for the time you work; this does not include paid time off (PTO) or holidays.
