Role description
Front Office Business Analyst | Commodity Trading | Derivatives | Upto £900/Day Inside IR35 | 2-3 days office | LDN
A leading Commodities Trading House is undergoing a significant Front Office transformation, bringing together their top performing desks into a newly formed, high-impact Front Office Technology & Analytics team. They are looking for some key Business Analysts for long term engagements to be the link between their front office traders and development.
This Derivatives Front Office Business Analyst role will be focussed on improving and changing the Front Office Derivatives Trading capabilities. You will work with users from across the business and cover functionality across the end-to-end trade lifecycle for Physical/Derivatives trading and deliver through structured, scalable, production-grade builds at trader speed.
As such, this Derivatives Front Office Business Analyst should have extensive experience with Derivatives trading across any asset class, prior experience working in the front office and communicating with stakeholders such as traders, as well as tech / development teams. An understanding of American and European Options, Greeks, Futures and Forwards will be crucial.
As a Derivatives Front Office Business Analyst, you will be given first priority on any new, high-impact desk initiatives. Releases happen multiple times per day, enabling traders to deploy tools immediately. Think RAD-style delivery — but engineered strategically, with robustness and long-term scalability in mind. You will be required to be proactive in engaging with users and working with them in a collaborative and open manner. You must take ownership of creating structured documentation (e.g. backlogs of user stories) and be able to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical individual.
Energy knowledge is not required — strong derivatives expertise is.
