Front Office Python Engineer | Commodities Trading | £700-£750 Inside IR35 | 6 months rolling | Hybrid 2-3 days LDN A Front Office Python Engineer is required for a large, complex commodity trading organisation undertaking a strategic incorporation of Python into their Front Office IT. This Front Office Python Engineer role will take front office built mock ups and strategically builld them in a way that they can be consumed by the wider front office IT ecosystem. You will work very closely with front office stakeholders, as well as reporting directly into the head of front office IT for this global energy trading company. Key Responsibilities of the Front Office Python Engineer: • Developing the front office trading systems in Python • Expanding Python capabilities and contributing to the development of Market Risk Limits and Potential Future Exposure (PFE) engines. • Support the Head of Front Office IT in designing and improving the trading systems. • Optimise metrics and KPIs to maximise the value derived from data assets. 📍 6-month rolling contract (long-term programme) 💸 Up to £700-750 per day – Inside IR35 🚂 Hybrid working: 2–3 days per week, City of London Essential Skills & Experience for the Front Office Python Engineer: • Extensive Python experience • Experience in Energy / Commodities • MUST HAVE Front-Office COMMODITY Trading Experience Domain experience (e.g. energy / commodities) is required.
