Job Summary
In this contingent resource assignment, you may consult on complex initiatives with broad impact and large‑scale planning for Software Engineering. You will review and analyze complex, multi‑faceted, larger‑scale, or longer‑term Software Engineering challenges requiring in‑depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented considerations. You will contribute to resolving complex and multi‑layered situations requiring a solid understanding of functional processes, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements. Strategic collaboration and consultation with client personnel is expected.
This role specifically focuses on designing, building, and productionizing GenAI applications end‑to‑end. You will lead development of robust LangChain/LangGraph agentic workflows, high‑quality RAG pipelines, and scalable microservices on Google Vertex AI. You will own system design, implementation, MLOps, observability, and governance while partnering with product, data, security, and platform teams to deliver reliable, secure, and cost‑efficient AI products.
Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities
• Design multi‑step agentic workflows using LangGraph (state machines, tools, retries, timeouts) and LangChain (chains, tools, memory)
• Build guardrails, observability, telemetry, tracing, and prompt/version tracking
• Own ingestion pipelines: chunking, embeddings, normalization, metadata, vector DB indexing (Pinecone, Weaviate, Milvus, FAISS)
• Implement retrieval strategies: hybrid retrieval, reranking, multi‑vector, caching, retrieval sub‑graphs
• Build domain‑specific adapters, schema/ontology alignment, and structured grounding
• Productionize services on Google Vertex AI (Models, Endpoints, Pipelines, Vector Search, Feature Store)
• Containerize with Docker, orchestrate with Kubernetes/GKE, automate with CI/CD
• Build user‑facing apps (React/Next.js) and backend services (Python/FastAPI, Node/Express)
• Develop tooling (document loaders, evaluators, red‑teaming flows, synthetic data pipelines)
• Define and automate GenAI evaluation (relevance, faithfulness, hallucination rate, latency, cost)
• Implement security, governance, PII controls, policy enforcement, audit logging
• Optimize latency and cost (batching, caching, streaming, model selection, quantization)
• Establish best practices for orchestration, testing, prompt patterns, and model lifecycle
• Mentor engineers and collaborate with product/design to deliver business impact
