Full Stack AI Developer London Hybrid 6 month contract Inside IR35 via Umbrella Our Pharmacuetical client are looking for a skilled and motivated Developer to help shape the future of generative AI applications, with a strong focus on safety, usability, and technical excellence. This role blends cutting-edge AI/ML development with user research and full-stack integration, offering a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of innovation and impact. Key Responsibilities • Define and implement safety metrics for generative AI systems, particularly language-based models. • Conduct user research to identify risks, failure modes, and areas for improvement in AI applications. • Integrate AI/ML components with frontend, backend, data pipelines, and compute infrastructure. • Develop high-quality software following best practices, including active participation in code reviews. • Collaborate with engineers and data teams across functions to build robust, end-to-end data pipelines. • Generate insights from GenAI datasets using machine learning and data analysis techniques. Qualifications • Experience conducting user research in software development contexts. • Solid understanding of generative AI and large language models. • Proficiency in Python, including testing and development workflows. • Familiarity with agile methodologies and working in agile development environments. • Strong grasp of modern software development tools and practices (e.g., Git/GitHub). • Experience deploying AI/ML-powered applications, especially those involving NLP, language models, or agent-based frameworks (e.g., LangGraph, PydanticAI, AutoGen). • Background in user research specific to AI applications. • Knowledge of AI/ML evaluation techniques, including safety and robustness assessments. • Experience in web-based frontend development.
