Full Stack Java

We have partnered with our client in their search for a Full Stack Java developer in Columbus, OH. Responsibilities • This is brand-new development from the ground up. • There are no existing APIs or code for this specific workstream. • The team is currently in discovery and design, and once resources join, they'll be walked through the design and expected to start building. • The applications will run on AWS, so they need hands-on engineers who can build backend APIs/events and support AWS-based components. • The initial focus is on the creation side of documents, not just maintaining existing systems. Skills Required • Senior Java Full Stack Engineer, but heavier backend: roughly 70% backend / 30% frontend. • Java development experience. • Spring Boot experience. • Kafka experience: creating, publishing, and consuming events. • API development, including building APIs from scratch. • AWS experience • AWS services exposure, especially: • ECS clusters • S3 • Lambda • Strong hands-on development ability. • NICE TO HAVES: • React experience for limited frontend work. • Prior experience with document composition, statements, letters, or similar customer communications. • Experience with greenfield / ground-up development. • Familiarity with infrastructure provisioning or setting up AWS components Education & Work Experience • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in experience • Senior-level experience, ideally 7+ years.
