Full-Stack NLP Engineer

About the job Monika is seeking a full-stack NLP Engineer to join our team for a 3-month initial contract, with a pathway to permanent employment. This person will play a critical role in accelerating the development of our brand name generator, with the support and mentorship of our Technical Lead, Dr. Simon Fothergill. What you'll do • Execute an existing product vision, AI strategy and engineering roadmap. • Lead the development of a world-class cloud-based AI engine. • Experiment with regression models for pre-identified name evaluation criteria. • Evaluate, configure and curate proprietary and off-the-shelf language models. • Apply NLP techniques for information extraction, clustering and summarization. • Extend a web application for capturing annotator data and reviewing outcomes of internal naming experiments. • Work with our front and backend teams to integrate the name generator with our website and wider product. What you'll bring • Degree in Computer Science; MSc or PhD strongly preferred. • Two years+ professional software engineering (Python, GCP, SQL, Vue.js). • Experience with scientific innovation of NLP models. • Comfort working with the subjectivity of creativity and brand naming. • Ability to work independently and follow your convictions. • Ideally, a sense of humor. We're not looking for someone to write prompts, a Gen AI consultant, an LLM hobbyist, an enrolled student seeking a side project, or anyone caught up in the hype of Agentic AI.
