Role description
Contract 2-4 Months 3 hours per day We are looking for a highly experienced Google Analytics 4 (GA4) implementation specialist to help diagnose and resolve tracking issues on a Shopify e-commerce site. The goal is to both stabilize our current GA4 setup and help establish best practices so our team can maintain the implementation properly long term. Our website operates at enterprise scale with a large product catalog. GA4 is already implemented, but we are running into issues related to data quality, event accuracy, attribution consistency, and overall e-commerce event reliability. We need someone who can efficiently identify root causes, clearly explain findings, and either implement fixes directly or provide precise guidance for our team to implement. What you will help with: - Audit the existing GA4 implementation and overall tracking setup - Diagnose issues with e-commerce events - Review attribution, checkout behavior, and related Shopify-specific considerations - Recommend and document best-practice improvements for ongoing maintenance - Support implementation or provide clear, developer-ready instructions Qualifications: - Strong hands-on experience implementing and debugging GA4 for Shopify e-commerce sites - Deep understanding of GA4 e-commerce event structure and parameters - Experience troubleshooting attribution issues and checkout-related tracking problems - Familiarity with Google Tag Manager and common Shopify analytics constraints - Ability to communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
