We are seeking an experienced Games QA/QC Lead to support quality initiatives for a confidential enterprise entertainment technology client. This role will focus on helping deliver polished, stable, and highly engaging gaming experiences across mobile, web, TV, and connected platforms. This is a fully remote, US-only, hourly W2 position with benefits. Candidates will be employed by BlueInGreen, paid hourly through BlueInGreen payroll, and assigned to support a confidential enterprise client. Long-term extension or potential conversion may be possible based on performance, business needs, and client approval. You will be working for a strongly founded Digital, Mobile, and Application Development company in a capacity where you can use your game quality assurance experience, testing discipline, communication skills, and passion for player experience. Client work is for one of the top Fortune 500 clients, where their technology is forward-thinking, highly visible, and innovative. You will support game quality across multiple phases of the development lifecycle, helping teams identify risks, validate functionality, track defects, and deliver high-quality experiences to players. This position is responsible for representing quality through all phases of a project and for ensuring that testing deliverables are accurate, organized, and actionable. You will work closely with production, development, design, support, analytics, and external QA teams to ensure that issues are identified, documented, prioritized, verified, and clearly communicated. The hourly rate is negotiable based on skillset, experience, and overall fit for the role. Our staff is located in Portland, Oregon, and Salt Lake City, Utah. Responsibilities • Lead QA/QC efforts for one or more game projects across different stages of development • Create, execute, and maintain test plans and test cases for game functionality, usability, accessibility, progression, stability, and release readiness • Identify, document, review, prioritize, and verify bugs using standard defect tracking tools • Partner with game production, development, design, analytics, support, and external QA teams to improve overall game quality • Help shape test strategy, test scheduling, risk assessment, and coverage planning • Support functional testing, regression testing, smoke testing, compatibility testing, and release validation • Review gameplay flows, player-facing features, onboarding, menus, progression systems, social features, and live service updates • Provide feedback during product and design reviews on functionality, edge cases, usability, accessibility, and potential player experience issues • Use analytics, player feedback, support data, and testing results to help identify quality trends and recurring issues • Coordinate test execution with internal teams and external QA partners • Communicate quality status, risks, blockers, and recommendations clearly to cross-functional stakeholders • Help improve QA processes, documentation, reporting, and team best practices Qualifications, Distinguishing Characteristics, and Special Requirements • 4+ years of experience in game QA, software QA, quality control, or a similar testing-focused role • Prior experience as a QA Lead, Senior QA Tester, QA Analyst, QC Lead, or equivalent role • Strong understanding of game testing methodologies, bug lifecycles, test case management, and release validation • Experience testing games across one or more platforms such as iOS, Android, web, TV, console, or connected devices • Experience working on multiple game titles, digital products, or live service products • Strong ability to write clear, detailed, and reproducible bug reports • Experience creating and maintaining test plans, test cases, regression suites, and test status reports • Comfortable testing gameplay systems, UI flows, account/login flows, monetization-free game experiences, progression, achievements, multiplayer/social features, accessibility, and edge cases • Ability to work with external developers, vendors, QA partners, or distributed teams • Strong problem-solving, analytical, time management, and communication skills • High attention to detail and a strong sense of ownership over product quality • Comfortable working with multiple stakeholders and prioritizing a wide range of tasks • Self-motivated, organized, and able to work through ambiguity • Ability to support Pacific Time business hours • Must be located in the United States • Must be eligible to work as a W2 employee of BlueInGreen Nice to Have • Experience with Unity or other game engines • Experience with automated testing tools, test automation frameworks, or scripting • Experience with mobile game testing on iOS and Android • Experience with analytics tools, crash reporting tools, device farms, or telemetry dashboards • Experience supporting live games, content updates, seasonal events, or post-launch releases • Experience with accessibility testing, localization testing, or compliance testing • Experience with tools such as Jira, TestRail, Confluence, Charles Proxy, Firebase, Bugsnag, Sentry, or similar QA/support tools • Passion for games and a strong understanding of what makes a high-quality player experience Equal Opportunity BlueInGreen is an equal opportunity employer.
