GCP Architect

About the Role We are seeking a GCP Data Architect to design, build, and optimize modern data platforms on Google Cloud. This role is highly hands-on and strategic, working closely with engineering, analytics, and business stakeholders to enable scalable, secure, and high-performing data solutions. You’ll own data architecture decisions end-to-end—from ingestion and transformation to analytics and governance—while helping teams move toward cloud-native best practices. Key Responsibilities • Design and implement scalable data architectures on Google Cloud Platform • Build and optimize data pipelines using BigQuery, Cloud Dataflow, Dataproc, Pub/Sub, and related services • Define data models, schemas, and standards to support analytics and reporting use cases • Partner with data engineers, analysts, and product teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions • Ensure data quality, security, governance, and performance across platforms • Lead or support cloud data migrations from on-prem or other cloud environments • Provide architectural guidance, best practices, and documentation Required Qualifications • 7+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or analytics platforms • Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform, especially BigQuery • Expertise in SQL and data modeling for analytical workloads • Experience designing batch and streaming data pipelines • Strong understanding of cloud security, IAM, and data governance concepts • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders Nice to Have • GCP certifications (Professional Data Engineer or Cloud Architect) • Experience with dbt, Airflow, or similar orchestration tools • Prior experience in financial services, healthcare, or other regulated industries • Exposure to multi-cloud or hybrid architectures
