Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect with a strong background in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and data engineering/analytics. The ideal candidate will design and deliver scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud and data solutions, working closely with stakeholders to translate business requirements into robust technical architectures.
Key Responsibilities
Design end-to-end cloud and data architectures on GCP aligned with business goals
Lead solution design for data platforms, including ingestion, processing, storage, and analytics
Define architecture using GCP services such as BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow, Dataproc, Pub/Sub
Establish cloud best practices for security, scalability, reliability, and cost optimization
Collaborate with data engineers, DevOps, and application teams for implementation
Provide technical leadership during cloud migrations and modernization initiatives
Create architecture diagrams, technical documentation, and design standards
Guide CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, and DevOps practices
Support performance tuning, troubleshooting, and production readiness
Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and privacy standards
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Strong experience as a Solution Architect or Cloud Architect
Hands-on expertise with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
Solid background in data architecture and data engineering
Experience with BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow, Dataproc, Pub/Sub
Knowledge of ETL/ELT, data modeling, and analytics solutions
Experience with Terraform or other IaC tools
Understanding of cloud security, IAM, networking, and monitoring
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Nice-to-Have Skills:
Experience with Looker / Looker Studio
Exposure to ML/AI workloads on GCP (Vertex AI)
Knowledge of Spark, Kafka, or streaming architectures
Multi-cloud exposure (AWS/Azure)
GCP Certifications (Professional Cloud Architect, Data Engineer)
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field
12+ years of IT experience with 5+ years in cloud/data architecture
