Role description
Job Title : GCP Terraform Engineer Location: Dallas, TX - Hybrid Interview: In person - Dallas, TX W2 POSITION Role Overview: As a GCP Terraform Engineer, you will design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available Google Cloud Platform (GCP) infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles. You will collaborate closely with DevSecOps, Platform Engineering, and Application teams to automate deployments, manage multi-environment setups, and enforce cloud governance. Key Responsibilities • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Design, develop, and maintain reusable, modular Terraform configurations to provision GCP resources (VPCs, IAM, GKE, Cloud Run, BigQuery, GCS, Compute Engine). • State Management & Lifecycle: Manage complex Terraform state files securely using remote backends (Google Cloud Storage) with appropriate state-locking mechanism configurations. • CI/CD Integration: Integrate Terraform workflows (plan, apply, validate) into automated CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Cloud Build). • Cloud Governance & Policy: Implement security policies and guardrails using policy-as-code frameworks (such as Sentinel, Open Policy Agent, or Gcloud Org Policies) to ensure compliance. • Environment Standardization: Architect and scale multi-tenant, multi-environment folder structures (Dev, Stage, Prod) under a unified GCP Organization. • Drift Detection & Resolution: Monitor, identify, and resolve configuration drifts between deployed infrastructure and git-tracked Terraform state. Technical Profile & Requirements • GCP Expertise: Strong, hands-on experience with core GCP services (networking, IAM, security, compute, and serverless). • Terraform Mastery: Deep understanding of advanced Terraform concepts (modules, dynamic blocks, workspaces, functions, meta-arguments like for each and count). • State & Collaboration: Experience with Git workflows, semantic versioning for custom modules, and remote state management. • Scripting: Proficiency in Bash or Python for automation and custom provider tooling. • Preferred Certifications: Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect, Google Cloud Professional DevOps Engineer, or HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate. • • Akhil Anand • IT-Recruiter Email: akhil.anand@navasoftware.com Website: http://www.navasoftware.com
