Title: Gen AI Engineer/SME Location: Charlotte, NC (Hybrid) Duration: Contract W2 Note: Open for W2 only. Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Generative AI SME to lead the design, development, and deployment of generative AI solutions across our organization. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in machine learning, natural language processing, and generative models (e.g., GPT, DALL E, Stable Diffusion), and will play a pivotal role in driving AI strategy, research, and implementation. Responsibilities: Lead the development and deployment of generative AI models for text, image, audio, and video generation. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Data Science, Engineering, Product, and Business) to identify use cases and deliver AI-powered solutions. Evaluate and fine-tune large language models (LLMs) and other generative architectures for performance, accuracy, and ethical compliance. Stay abreast of the latest research and advancements in generative AI and apply them to real-world problems. Develop proof-of-concepts (PoCs), prototypes, and production-grade systems using generative AI. Ensure responsible AI practices including bias mitigation, explainability, and data privacy. Mentor junior AI engineers and data scientists in generative AI techniques and best practices. Contribute to the creation of internal documentation, whitepapers, and technical presentations. Requirements: Master s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or related field. 5+ years of experience in AI/ML, with at least 2 years focused on generative AI. Strong proficiency in Python and ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face Transformers. Hands-on experience with LLMs, diffusion models, GANs, VAEs, and other generative architectures. Experience with prompt engineering, fine-tuning, and model evaluation. Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and MLOps practices. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with multimodal AI systems (text + image/audio/video). Publications or contributions to open-source generative AI projects. Knowledge of ethical AI principles and regulatory frameworks.
