Lead Generative AI Engineer Location: Charlotte, NC /REMOTE Experience: 10+ Years in Software Development with 3+ Years in Generative AI Employment Type: Contract Job Description We are seeking an experienced Lead Generative AI Engineer to design, develop, and deploy enterprise-scale Generative AI solutions. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Foundry, Agentic AI, RAG architecture, and Python while leading AI solution development from architecture to production. Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, and deploy enterprise-scale Generative AI applications. • Build AI-powered solutions using Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Foundry, Copilot Studio, and Azure AI services. • Develop and optimize Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions using vector databases and enterprise knowledge sources. • Design and implement AI agents and multi-agent workflows using LangChain, LangGraph, Semantic Kernel, or AutoGen. • Collaborate with architects, product owners, and business stakeholders to deliver AI-driven business solutions. • Develop scalable REST APIs, microservices, and backend integrations. • Lead prompt engineering, model evaluation, tuning, and optimization. • Implement LLMOps practices including monitoring, observability, governance, and performance optimization. • Ensure Responsible AI, security, compliance, and data privacy standards. • Mentor development teams on AI best practices and solution architecture. • Troubleshoot production issues and optimize AI workloads for performance and cost. • Integrate GenAI solutions with enterprise platforms including Microsoft 365, ServiceNow, Salesforce, and SAP. • Stay current with advancements in LLMs, Agentic AI, multimodal AI, and emerging AI frameworks. • Support technical proposals, PoCs, innovation initiatives, and architecture reviews.
