Role Overview:
We are hiring for one of our clients, seeking a Geospatial Analysis Specialist (QGIS) to work on a specialist basis. This person will apply their expertise to help train next-generation AI systems, focusing on geospatial analysis and spatial modeling. The specialist will work on designing, managing, and maintaining spatial databases, conducting advanced geoprocessing, and developing high-quality cartographic maps and visualizations, all within the context of the technology and artificial intelligence industry. The goal of this role is to provide high-quality, real-world input to improve how AI models learn, reason, and perform.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, manage, and maintain spatial databases to ensure data integrity and accuracy across projects, utilizing expertise in geospatial analysis and spatial modeling.
• Conduct advanced geoprocessing and spatial modeling using QGIS, integrating results into actionable insights that can inform decision-making.
• Develop, customize, and maintain QGIS plugins and extensions tailored to project specifications, leveraging programming skills in Python (PyQGIS) to automate workflows.
• Automate geospatial analysis workflows using Python (PyQGIS) to improve efficiency and reproducibility, ensuring that workflows are scalable and reliable.
• Prepare high-quality cartographic maps and visualizations for reports, presentations, and decision support, communicating complex geospatial data in a clear and concise manner.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
• Strong proficiency in QGIS, with experience in designing, managing, and maintaining spatial databases, as well as conducting advanced geoprocessing and spatial modeling.
• Programming skills in Python (PyQGIS), with the ability to automate geospatial analysis workflows and develop custom plugins and extensions.
• Experience with geospatial data analysis, spatial modeling, and cartographic visualization, with a strong understanding of geographic information systems and their applications.
