Overview
GovCIO is currently hiring a talented and experienced Geospatial Information Systems (GIS) Analyst who specializes in geospatial data products and data analysis. This role involves supporting custom GIS solutions and initiatives to meet specific project requirements. This position is fully remote, located in the United States.
Please note : The contract has been awarded; however, this position remains unfunded and is contingent upon funding release.
Responsibilities
• Provides common GIS data, integrate GIS into other systems and workflows.
• Trains users in using GIS.
• Collects field data, identifies spatial relationships, and presents results as visualized diagrams.
• Performs GIS data entry into GIS databases, using geometry, tabular data, manual digitizing of maps, and vectors.
• Apply GIS software and mapping tools to analyze geographic data, accurately plotting latitude and longitude coordinates for spatial analysis.
Qualifications
Required Skills and Experience:
• Bachelor's with 12+ years (or commensurate experience)
Preferred Skills And Experience
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management tools.
• Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate).
Clearance Required
Ability to obtain and maintain a suitability/Public Trust
