Role description
Location: Washington, D.C. Required Qualifications • Demonstrated experience creating, loading, and modifying geospatial data (geometry, attributes, and metadata) using multiple data editing methodologies. • Ability to perform research and investigation to determine geospatial data requirements and assist in the acquisition of both raster and vector datasets, including high-resolution imagery and LiDAR data, from governmental and private sources. • Proficiency in quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) for geospatial references, geometric alignment, attributes, and metadata; ability to identify data deficiencies and ensure the highest data accuracy and quality. • Experience modifying multi-user, versioned, enterprise-level geodatabases (such as ArcSDE/PostGre) and working with Esri file and/or personal geodatabases. • Ability to produce a wide variety of cartographic products (thematic and reference maps, atlases, web maps) in hard and soft copy, using the Esri software suite (ArcGIS Pro) and specialized tools (Adobe Creative Cloud, Avenza MAPublisher). • Capable of conducting both simple and complex vector and raster geospatial analysis (including overlay, buffering, map algebra, statistical and network analysis, geovisualization, and 3-D modeling). • Experience developing geospatial web applications, tools, sites, and administering web services/functions using ArcEnterprise Preferred Qualifications • Prior experience supporting federal law enforcement, national security, or intelligence missions through geospatial science and mapping. • Experience with the administration and maintenance of enterprise ArcGIS/ArcEnterprise web platforms. • Ability to communicate complex geospatial analyses and methodologies in written reports and presentations. Education • Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution in geography, geographic information systems (GIS), cartography, geospatial sciences, or a closely related field. Location • Washington, D.C. metro area. On-site support required at government facilities between core business hours of 8:00 am and 4:00 pm Eastern time Clearance • Preferred clearance is Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI).
