GIS Mapping Analyst

Trident Consulting is seeking a “GIS Mapping Analyst” for one of our clients in “San Francisco, CA /New York NY (Hybrid)”, a global leader in Mobility and transportation network. Role: GIS Mapping Analyst Location: San Francisco, CA /New York NY (Hybrid) Type: Contract Rate: $50/hr on w2 We are seeking a highly analytical and data-driven GIS Data Analyst to support critical Mapping and Product Analytics initiatives. This role sits at the intersection of product, analytics, and mapping operations, helping drive data-informed decisions across Rider, Driver, and Platform experiences. The ideal candidate will have strong SQL expertise, experience building dashboards and KPI frameworks, and a background in product analytics, mapping, geospatial, mobility, logistics, or consumer technology environments. Responsibilities • Monitor and improve map data coverage, quality, and operational health • Build dashboards, reports, and KPI tracking frameworks • Conduct deep-dive analyses, root-cause investigations, and performance monitoring • Support product analytics initiatives across Mapping, Driver, Rider, and Platform experiences • Partner closely with Product Managers, Engineering, and UX Research teams • Develop reusable analytical frameworks and scalable reporting processes • Create measurement plans and define KPIs for new product initiatives • Present actionable insights and recommendations to leadership stakeholders • Manage multiple analytical workstreams and support ongoing operational reviews Required Skills • Experience in Mapping, GIS, Mobility, Logistics, Ride-sharing, or Geospatial Analytics • Strong proficiency in SQL • Experience with dashboarding and data visualization tools such as Tableau, Looker, Mode, Hex, or Power BI • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Experience working with product, operations, or business analytics • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment Preferred Qualifications • Familiarity with AI-powered data tools • Exposure to navigation systems, location intelligence, or AV mapping ecosystems • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Analytics, GIS, Computer Science, or related field About Trident Consulting Trident Consulting is an award-winning staffing and consulting firm headquartered in San Ramon, CA.
