Role description
Link Technologies (LinkTechConsulting.com), a Las Vegas, NV based IT consulting firm, is currently seeking a Google Cloud Architect to join our team. REQUIREMENTS Architecture and Design: Architect scalable, secure, and cost-efficient cloud solutions using GCP services (e.g., Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, BigQuery, Pub/Sub, GCS, Dataflow, etc.). Create and maintain architectural diagrams, technical documentation, and best practice guidelines. Pipeline Development and Automation: Develop and manage data pipelines using GCP tools (e.g., Airflow Composer, Pub/Sub, BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc). Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitHub. Deploy infrastructure-as-code (IaC) with Terraform or Google Cloud Deployment Manager. Cloud Infrastructure Management: Assist in designing and implementing network architectures (VPCs, subnets, peering, VPNs, load balancing). Administer IAM, roles, and policies to ensure secure access and governance. Manage monitoring, logging, and alerting with Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging, and Ops Agent. Enhance cloud resource utilization for cost efficiency and performance. Security and Compliance: Follow best practices for data security, identity management, encryption, and compliance (e.g., GDPR). Use Cloud KMS, VPC Service Controls, and Security Command Center to implement workload and data protection. Collaboration and Leadership: Guide data engineers and lead technical workshops or design reviews. Serve as a subject-matter expert on GCP technologies and promote cloud adoption. Programming and Scripting: Proficient in one or more languages: Python and Shell scripting. Experienced in writing automation scripts and APIs for deployment and operations. Data and Analytics: Knowledge of ETL/ELT design and tools (BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Composer). Understanding of data modeling, data governance, and streaming analytics. Cloud Platform Expertise: In-depth knowledge of Google Cloud Platform services: compute, storage and databases, networking, security, and monitoring. Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset. Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
