Job Description: A Guidewire Billing Center Developer focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining applications within the BillingCenter platform, often requiring expertise in Java, GOSU, and P&C insurance processes. Key responsibilities include collaborating with stakeholders on requirements, configuring the system, troubleshooting issues, and performing code reviews Core responsibilities: Application development: Design, develop, and maintain Guidewire BillingCenter applications using best practices and coding standards. Requirements and collaboration: Work with business analysts and cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Configuration and customization: Configure and customize Guidewire BillingCenter to meet specific business needs, including UI components, rules, and operational settings. Issue resolution: Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the application, including during testing and after deployment. Code quality: Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality, efficiency, and maintainability. Testing: Develop and maintain unit tests and potentially integration tests Required skills and experience: Must have 8 to 10 years of experience. MUST HAVE GUIDEWIRE CERTIFICATION and more focus on Billing Center out of the 3 modules – Guidewire PC, BC, and CC Technical skills: Proficiency in Java and GOSU programming is essential. Experience with Guidewire Data Model and other Guidewire modules like PolicyCenter and ClaimCenter is beneficial. Domain knowledge: A solid understanding of Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance domain and billing processes is crucial. Integration: Familiarity with integrating Guidewire with other systems using SOAP/REST APIs is often required. Tools and methodologies: Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile/Scrum methodologies is a plus. Problem-solving: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills are necessary for troubleshooting and resolving technical issues. Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are needed for collaborating with team members and stakeholder
