Guidewire Developer

Job Title: Guidewire PolicyCenter Developer Location: Remote Job Type: Contract Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Guidewire PolicyCenter Tech Lead to provide strategic and hands-on technical leadership for our Guidewire Cloud-based initiatives. This role requires deep expertise in Guidewire PolicyCenter implementation, configuration, and customization, along with a strong background in cloud architecture, integration, and team leadership. Key Responsibilities: • Technical Leadership: • Lead and guide development teams in the implementation and customization of Guidewire PolicyCenter on Cloud platforms. • Architecture & Design: • Define and lead scalable, performant, and reliable architectural designs for Guidewire solutions. • Hands-on Development & Configuration: • Engage in hands-on configuration and coding using Guidewire Studio, APD, Java, and XML. • System Integration: • Design and implement integrations between Guidewire PolicyCenter and other third-party or internal systems. • Mentorship: • Mentor and develop junior developers and team members, promoting best practices and continuous improvement. • Stakeholder Collaboration: • Work closely with clients, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions. • Software Development Lifecycle: • Participate actively in all phases of the SDLC – from requirements gathering and design to development, testing, deployment, and support. • Agile Methodologies: • Contribute to agile delivery processes within distributed teams, supporting sprints, stand-ups, and iterative development practices. Required Skills & Qualifications: • Proven experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter – implementation, configuration, and cloud deployment. • Strong knowledge of Guidewire Studio, APD, Java, and XML. • Experience designing scalable and performant enterprise software architectures. • Hands-on experience with Guidewire Cloud platforms. • Strong integration experience using APIs, web services, and middleware. • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies. • Excellent communication, team collaboration, and problem-solving skills. • Ability to mentor junior developers and lead technical discussions with stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications: • Guidewire certifications (PolicyCenter Developer or Architect). • Experience with Guidewire ClaimCenter or BillingCenter is a plus. • Cloud deployment experience (e.g., AWS, Azure) is an advantage. • Prior experience in the insurance industry or with insurance systems.
