Role description
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Guidewire PolicyCenter Configuration Developer to design, develop, configure, and support Guidewire PolicyCenter applications. The ideal candidate should possess strong experience in Guidewire configuration, integration, and development activities along with hands-on expertise in the P&C Insurance domain.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and customize Guidewire PolicyCenter solutions based on business requirements.
• Configure product model, UI screens, workflows, rules, typelists, and business logic.
• Work on Guidewire Gosu, PCF, Data Model, and Batch Processes.
• Design and develop integrations using SOAP/REST APIs, messaging, and middleware technologies.
• Collaborate with business analysts, architects, QA teams, and stakeholders for requirement analysis and solution delivery.
• Participate in code reviews, unit testing, defect fixing, and deployment activities.
• Support Guidewire upgrades, enhancements, and production issue resolution.
• Ensure adherence to Guidewire best practices and coding standards.
• Prepare technical design documents and implementation documentation.
Required Skills
• 4–10 years of software development experience with minimum 3+ years in Guidewire PolicyCenter.
• Strong hands-on experience in:
• Guidewire PolicyCenter Configuration
• Gosu Programming
• PCF Configuration
• Business Rules and Workflows
• Data Model Extensions
• Product Model Configuration
• Experience with Guidewire Integration technologies.
• Good knowledge of Java/J2EE concepts.
• Hands-on experience with SQL and relational databases.
• Experience with version control and CI/CD tools such as Git, Jenkins, or Bamboo.
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Preferred Skills
• Experience in Guidewire Cloud implementation.
• Guidewire certifications preferred.
• Knowledge of InsuranceSuite products such as BillingCenter and ClaimCenter.
• Experience with messaging systems and integration tools.
Domain Experience
• Strong understanding of Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance processes including policy lifecycle, underwriting, rating, and policy servicing.
