As a Hadoop Engineer - CLT or Chicago, you will be part of the Data Platforms Support team, contributing to innovative projects that leverage cutting-edge Big Data Technologies. Job Title:Hadoop Engineer - CLT or Chicago Location:Chicago, IL What's the Job? • Support and manage large-scale Hadoop and Data Science platforms, including Cloudera, Databricks, Snowflake, and others. • Oversee cluster management, including upgrades, bug fixes, deployments, and capacity planning. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop, engineer, and communicate technical solutions. • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement disaster recovery procedures. • Integrate solutions with other applications and platforms to optimize data workflows. What's Needed? • Experience managing Hadoop clusters and Data Science platforms such as Cloudera, Spark, Kafka, and HBase. • Strong knowledge of Hadoop architecture, HDFS, and cluster configuration best practices. • Hands-on experience with Unix/Linux, scripting languages (Python, Shell), and database systems. • Familiarity with automation and DevOps tools like Ansible, Jenkins, and Git. • Certifications in Cloudera Admin/Dev or Cloud/Docker technologies are a plus.
