As a Hadoop Engineer - CLT or Chicago, you will be part of the Data Platforms Support team, contributing to innovative projects that leverage cutting-edge Big Data Technologies. Job Title:Hadoop Engineer - CLT or Chicago Location:Chicago, IL What's the Job? โ€ข Support and manage large-scale Hadoop and Data Science platforms, including Cloudera, Databricks, Snowflake, and others. โ€ข Oversee cluster management, including upgrades, bug fixes, deployments, and capacity planning. โ€ข Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop, engineer, and communicate technical solutions. โ€ข Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement disaster recovery procedures. โ€ข Integrate solutions with other applications and platforms to optimize data workflows. What's Needed? โ€ข Experience managing Hadoop clusters and Data Science platforms such as Cloudera, Spark, Kafka, and HBase. โ€ข Strong knowledge of Hadoop architecture, HDFS, and cluster configuration best practices. โ€ข Hands-on experience with Unix/Linux, scripting languages (Python, Shell), and database systems. โ€ข Familiarity with automation and DevOps tools like Ansible, Jenkins, and Git. โ€ข Certifications in Cloudera Admin/Dev or Cloud/Docker technologies are a plus.
