Job Title: Hadoop ETL Developer

About the Role:
We are looking for a highly skilled Hadoop/ETL Developer to design, build, and maintain end-to-end data ingestion and transformation pipelines. You will work with our proprietary Data Connect tool and bring strong expertise in the Hadoop ecosystem and ETL development (Informatica or equivalent). This role involves hands-on development, performance optimization, and collaboration with cross-functional data teams.
Key Responsibilities:
β’ Develop and maintain scalable data ingestion and transformation pipelines.
β’ Work with Hadoop ecosystem tools such as HDFS, Hive, Spark, MapReduce.
β’ Utilize Informatica PowerCenter or similar ETL tools to design and implement data workflows.
β’ Collaborate with data architects, analysts, and stakeholders to ensure data quality and availability.
β’ Write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and validation.
β’ Develop and maintain Unix/Linux shell scripts to support data processes.
β’ Troubleshoot and improve performance of existing pipelines.
What Weβre Looking For:
β’ 5+ years of experience in data engineering, ETL development, or Hadoop development
β’ 3+ years of hands-on experience with the Hadoop ecosystem:
β’ HDFS
β’ MapReduce
β’ Hive
β’ Spark
β’ 3+ years of experience with Informatica PowerCenter or a similar ETL tool
β’ Strong proficiency in SQL
β’ Experience with Unix/Linux shell scripting
Compensation:
Hourly Rate: $60- $65 per hour
This range reflects base compensation and may vary based on location, market conditions, experience, and candidate qualifications.
