Hadoop/ETL Developer (Plano)

Our client, a leading organization in the financial services industry, is seeking a Hadoop/ETL Developer (Plano) to join their team. As a Hadoop/ETL Developer (Plano), you will be part of the Data Engineering Department supporting the Treasury ADS team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, adaptability, and collaborative spirit, which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title:Hadoop/ETL Developer (Plano) Location:Plano, TX (Local only 3 days onsite) What's the Job? • Understand design specifications and propose high-level and detailed technical solutions for business problems. • Support production environments by troubleshooting issues and implementing improvements. • Engage with cross-functional teams including information architecture, development, testing, and support teams. • Participate in project meetings, contribute to design discussions, and collaborate with offshore and nearshore teams. • Work on multiple projects concurrently, ensuring timely and quality delivery of solutions. What's Needed? • Strong experience with ETL tools such as Informatica or SSIS, and big data technologies including Hadoop, Spark, Impala, Hive, and Python. • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with Hadoop ecosystem components and troubleshooting data issues. • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Unix Shell and Perl. • Experience with Autosys JIL scripting and data processing technologies. • Ability to work flexibly, including working on weekends once a month, with potential compensatory time off during weekdays.
