Role description
Please note this is a Fixed Term Contract until July 2027.
FitFlop is undergoing an exciting period of Digital Transformation, including the implementation and go-live of a NetSuite ERP platform in June 2026. To ensure the success, stability, governance, and strategic progression of our data ecosystem, we are seeking an experience Head of Data to join our Global Technology team in London.
This role will lead our Data Function across Product Master Data, Data Engineering, governance, seasonal operations, and cross functional business initiatives. You will ensure high-quality data foundations, operational continuity, and ongoing optimisation to support our growth.
The Responsibilities:
Data Leadership across the NetSuite Programme:
β’ You will have overarching accountability for the quality, governance, and stability of data within NetSuite and all downstream systems.
β’ Ownership of the Product Data Structure and Item Model within NetSuite.
β’ Defining and maintaining data standards, governance controls, and templates.
β’ Ensuring robust BAU data processes post go-live, including item creation and lifecycle management.
β’ Overseeing data quality, ensuring accuracy across ERP and integrated systems.
β’ Leading resolution of data-related issues, ensuring continuity across the business.
β’ Setting the direction for continuous improvement and safeguarding long-term data integrity.
Post NetSuite Go-Live Priorities:
β’ Full ownership and leadership of post go-live stabilisation, governance, and business as usual operations.
β’ Ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and timelines across systems.
β’ Running Product Master Data operations during hypercare.
β’ Maintaining business readiness and supporting key operational processes.
Mater Data BAU and Seasonal Readiness:
β’ You will lead the team responsible for FitFlopβs Product Master Data, ensuring seasonal launches and product changes occur smoothly.
β’ Management of the Master Data Team and ensuring seasonal item setup aligns to our Product Critical Path calendar.
β’ Ensuring all product data is complete and accurate at each release stage.
β’ Oversight of Smartsheet as a business data intake and workflow management tool.
β’ Coordinating data inputs from factories, product, marketing and operations teams.
β’ Responding to urgent and ad-hoc data needs from cross functional stakeholders.
Leadership of Data Engineering:
β’ You will manage and guide our Data Engineer, ensuring data pipelines, integrations and reporting capabilities support the business.
β’ Oversight of data flows across systems and departments.
β’ Managing integrations into and out of Snowflake.
β’ Supporting BI, analytics, and reporting requirements.
β’ Partnering with our Solution Architect on enterprise data architecture.
β’ Ensuring the development and reliability of Power Query and other data tools.
Cross-Functional Data Leadership:
β’ As Head of Data you will represent the function across key programmes and governance forums.
β’ Acting as the senior Data representative for the Digital Transformation Programme.
β’ Leading data dependencies for initiatives such as the Commodity Code Project, Sample Process Refinement, and Critical Path enhancement.
β’ Supporting broader business change initiatives where data plays a critical role.
β’ Prioritising and allocating Data team workload based on skillset, capacity, and business need.
Team Management and Development:
β’ You will operate as the People Leader for our Data Team, ensuring capability, performance, and alignment.
β’ Set mutual and agreed deliverables for your Team members to achieve on a quarterly, and annual basis.
β’ Conduct regular 1:1s with your team members as well as quarterly reviews.
β’ Performance management and ongoing development and coaching of your team.
β’ Confident and comfortable to delegate responsibility and balancing workload across your team.
β’ Developing data capability and strengthening governance practices.
β’ Ensuring alignment with stakeholders across Product, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, and Technology.
The Person:
β’ Proven experience leading Data, Master Data, or ERP Data Teams.
β’ Experience managing direct reports and able to demonstrate and successful management style.
β’ Strong understanding of NetSuite, ERP data models, and product lifecycle processes.
β’ Skilled in data governance, data quality, and operational data management.
β’ Experience managing technical data functions, including pipelines, integrations, and reporting.
β’ Confident, adaptable leader able to manage teams during periods of change.
β’ Comfortable working in fastβpaced, seasonal retail or consumer product environments.
β’ Ideally experience working within a data role within the fashion, retail, or consumer goods industry.
β’ Comfortable to be hands-on to ensure the delivery of projects and data requirements in the business.
