Head of Data Practice (Contract)
Contract: Outside IR35
Rate: £500–£600 per day

Overview We are seeking an experienced Head of Data Practice for a 3-month outside IR35 contract. This is a senior leadership role focused on shaping and driving data strategy within a consulting environment, ensuring data is leveraged as a strategic asset across client engagements.
The Role You will lead and develop a high-performing data capability spanning data design and modelling, governance and assurance, analytics, and data science. Acting as a trusted advisor to clients, you will provide strategic guidance, oversee delivery of complex data initiatives, and help position data as a core driver of business value.
Key Responsibilities
• Define and lead the data strategy, aligning data capabilities with business objectives
• Provide technical and strategic leadership across data architecture, BI, analytics, and governance
• Lead and mentor a team of data specialists, developing capability and driving best practice
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, including C-level clients
• Support business development and client growth, shaping data-led solutions and proposals
• Ensure robust data governance, quality, and compliance frameworks Experience Required
• Extensive experience in technology consulting with a strong focus on data strategy and delivery
• Deep knowledge of data architecture, BI, analytics, reporting, and data governance
• Experience leading data teams or practices in consulting or enterprise environments
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills, from technical teams to senior leadership
