Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Quality Analyst to support the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of clinical and administrative data within the MyInsight Electronic Health Record (EHR) system. The ideal candidate will have strong SQL skills and a solid understanding of healthcare workflows, billing processes, and clinical documentation standards. This role focuses on identifying, analyzing, and correcting data inconsistencies that impact patient care, reporting, and reimbursement.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Quality & Front Desk Validation
β’ Use SQL queries and MyInsight reporting tools to identify and correct front desk data entry errors.
β’ Perform routine audits and corrections for:
o Insurance benefit assignments (end-dating incorrect or outdated records)
o Insurance relationships (ensuring correct βSelfβ assignment)
o Patient checkout status discrepancies and missing workflow steps
Clinical Data Integrity
β’ Review service and clinical records for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with billing requirements.
β’ Identify and correct issues such as:
o Missing office visits or lab components in service records
o Missing or incorrect E/M (Evaluation & Management) codes
o Diagnoses not linked to appropriate billing codes
o Missing vaccination administration fees for Medicaid, Medicare, or private insurance patients
o Incorrect service entry points (e.g., front desk vs clinical entry)
o Services assigned to incorrect encounters or events
β’ Analyze current data entry workflows and help develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for programs.
Duplicate Record Management
β’ Identify, investigate, and merge duplicate patient records within the EHR system.
β’ Ensure consistency and accuracy of patient data across all systems and reporting tools.
Reporting & Collaboration
β’ Generate SQL-based reports to support data audits and operational decision-making.
β’ Collaborate with clinical, administrative, and billing teams to resolve data issues.
β’ Support improvements in data entry processes and workflow optimization.
Required Qualifications
β’ Associateβs or Bachelorβs degree in Health Information Technology, Healthcare Administration, Computer Science, or related field
β’ Minimum 2 years of experience working with EHR systems (preferably MyInsight by Netsmart)
β’ Strong proficiency in SQL for querying and reporting
β’ Experience with healthcare billing and insurance workflows (Medicaid, Medicare, Private Insurance)
β’ Knowledge of ICD, CPT coding, and E/M documentation standards
β’ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
β’ Experience in a public health or clinical environment
β’ Familiarity with healthcare data cleanup, auditing, and integrity processes
β’ Experience creating or supporting SOP development
β’ Understanding of clinical workflows from front desk to billing
Skills:
Associate or bachelor's degree in health information technology, Computer Science, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
