Role description
Epitec is seeking to hire a Healthcare Data Analyst to support healthcare analytics, reporting, and program performance initiatives. This role will focus on analyzing complex Medicaid and healthcare claims data, developing Power BI dashboards, performing SQL-based data analysis, and delivering actionable insights to stakeholders. The ideal candidate has strong healthcare analytics experience, particularly with Medicaid claims data and healthcare performance reporting. Job Details • Job Title:Healthcare Data Analyst • Location: 100% Remote • Employment Type: W2 Contract • Contract Length: Long-Term • Work Environment: Fully Remote • Industry: Healthcare / Medicaid Analytics Responsibilities • Utilize SQL to transform, merge, cleanse, and analyze large healthcare datasets. • Create and maintain Power BI dashboards, data models, visualizations, and reports. • Serve as a subject matter expert for healthcare data sources, including: • All Payer Claims Database (APCD) • Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) • Ecosystem data sources • Monitor program performance and develop reporting solutions for leadership and stakeholders. • Validate data quality and ensure reporting accuracy. • Coordinate with state staff and program stakeholders regarding enrollment and reporting requirements. • Identify trends, patterns, and opportunities within healthcare data. • Support program development through data-driven recommendations. • Manage multiple reporting projects and meet critical deadlines. Requirements Required • Bachelor's Degree in: • Health Policy • Health Economics • Statistics • Medical Informatics • Epidemiology • Related quantitative field • Equivalent experience considered • 3+ years of healthcare data analysis experience. • Strong SQL development and data manipulation skills. • Experience with: • Power BI • Microsoft Excel • Microsoft Access • Healthcare performance measurement and reporting experience. • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. • Excellent communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively. • Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
